Well, I have succeeded in completely neglecting my blog for a long time. At the moment, I am sitting here eating the last piece of fruit that I have: A can of peaches. They are delicious. Being at college has given me a greater appreciation for food. At home, I completely took advantage of those cans of peaches. I would have rather had strawberries, so I didn't really eat the peaches. Too bad. Peaches are delicious. Ok, sorry. I haven't written on my blog in weeks, and when I finally do, I rant about the glory of peaches-- they are delicious though. Anyway, Thanksgiving was fun. I learned to knit, and I finished my first project. Yay! I also got a cold that I am still suffering from though. not yay. Apparantly, I got it from Becky, who got it from Lana, who got it from this guy named Josh. I blame Josh. I'm starting to get better, but I still have an embarrassingly loud and obnoxious cough. ): I am having a hard time staying focused on school, when I know I'll get to come home soon. I'm so excited. Yesterday I had a great surprise though! Grandma Konnad sent me cookies! Yay! They are delicious. She sent me some sweaters too, but they weren't nearly as exciting. I have to admit, I was hoping for more edible type things. It was really nice during thanksgiving, when I was at the Froelich's house, to have actual meals, and have everybody sit around the table and eat together. I'm just ready for this semester to be over. I'm really sad though. I want to bring my guitar home. If my case was 4 inches shorter, it would only be $25 to bring it home. Because of those four inches, it would be $175 to bring it there, and that's just one way. Depressing. My guitar will be lonely over Christmas Break. I'm excited to go home. I just finished my last peach. No more fruit. Fruit is the product of God wanting to make candy healthy for us. So, now i'm on the subject of fruit and peaches again, so I should probably just stop.

11/18

I finally got signed up for classes today! yay! I had to call my account adviser to figure out how to pay when I didn't have a mastercard or checks. Then I had to call my bank to figure out my route number and my account number. They gave me my route number, but they wouldn't give me my account number over the phone so I had to look online at my last statement. I finally paid from my checking account, and registered for classes. I have 17 credits. Does Kayla know where she's living yet? What classes is she taking? She should take Book of Mormon with me. Im taking BoM 122 from 12:45 to 1:45 form Brother Dorman. I guess if she's already registered for classes it wouldn't make sense to mix it up again but it would be fun to share a class! I also took care of my scholarship today. I called the counselor last friday, and he told me to contact this one lady, so i googled her and found her office number, and she told me what to mail, and what address to send it to. I put it in the mailbox this afternoon, so I should have my scholarship soon! My classes for next semester are math 108, History and Philosophy of Education, American Foundations, Book of Mormon (the second part), Natural Disaster Science (this one has a field trip), Womens choir, and Child Developement. I'm pretty excited for next semester. I'm really excited for Christmas though! Anyway, I was very responsible today, and made a lot of scary phonecalls to strangers. I got up at 7:45 today and walked to class, and on the door it said class was cancelled. I was relieved because I was 5 minutes late, but i was also annoyed because my next class wasn't until 12:45. I COULD HAVE SLEPT IN!! Anyway, it wasn't that big of a deal though because I went back to sleep when I got home anyway. I was interrupted and had to walk in the cold though. I had science today too. I studied differently last night, and so it went really well, and I took really good notes. I have a test after thanksgiving break that I'm really nervous for. I've taken two tests for the class and got a D on both of them. Hopefully I'll do better this time. I'm doing really well in all of my other classes. Hope everything is good with all of you, and thanks for adding money to my checking account!

11/17

Well, I lost my frisbee game. Sad day. The other team didn't really deserve to go to championship. Our team had only lost one game before that, and that team had only won a couple of games the whole season. They just added a new player at the last miute. lame. I don't even know who won the championship. I hope it was the Vikings. They are the only team that beat us fairly. I guess I'm being a sore loser, but our team was really good. Anyway, we're getting ready for our Christmas concert in choir. I'm excited. My roommates and I listened to Christmas music yesterday while we made homeade pizza. We had Pat over for dinner too. It was fun. We also went stadium singing last night. Stadium singing is every sunday, a bunch of people just stand under the stadium and sing hymns. Last night was only primary songs so it was a lot of fun. Saturday Laura's friend Daniel came over. He lives in Idaho Falls (about 20 mins away). We all went bowling and went to the movie Eagle Eye. Daniel is really wierd. He is our age, but he acts like he's 15. It bothers me, but he's Laura's friend, and Laura's pretty much my best friend that's out here, so I put up with him. In English we had to write a persuasive essay. It has been a stressfull experience, but I got my first draft done this morning. whew! Also, I can't register for classes because I still owe $135 from this semster and I don't have checks or a master card. They won't let me pay with my Visa. Lame. I called the accounting office, but I thought it was open until 6, and it closed at 5. So, hopefully, I can find a solution to this problem. blech. I'm excited for thanksgiving! I'll be in Montana with the Froelichs. Becky is driving right through Rexburg, and I have all week off, but BYU still has school Mon and Tues, so Becky and some friends are picking me up Tuesday night. It should be fun. Actually, I'm more excited to see Mary than Becky. It wouldn't tell either of them that though. Oh, I don't have any "anytime" minutes on my phone left, so if you want to talk to me, you'll either have to call me after 8 (your time) or at my apartment phone. I'm sad I'll miss the stockade this year. I miss you all! Except for Lucy. I don't really miss her stench and fur... sorry Mia.

Umm, Sundays I have church from 1:30-4:30 and my roommates and I alternate sunday dinners
That's pretty much my fixed schedule. I have a lot of stuff that isn't really week to week
English class is ok, I love my class and teacher, but the actual material feels like review.
Oh I'm in a sweet adeline group right now. We are working on 3 pieces at the moment: My Guy, Route 66, and the Star Spangled Banner. I love my group. we're doing really well, and we blend pretty nicely. It makes me not miss singing with my sisters so much. My book of mormon class is great, but it is super long. I'm learning a ton form it though. Choir is great, I'm singing first soprano, and since it is womens choir, we mostly just sing women's pieces obviously, but we also sing a lot with men's choir, which is always very fun. I kind of have a soft spot for basses. Their voices are just amazing. Our choir is an audition choir, and there are some really talanted people in it. Just wanted you to know, cause women's choir at a college usually isn't very good. This is not the case. Frisbee is amazing fun. I absolutely love it!! Our team is winning so far in the tournament, and this weekend is the final game! I'm pretty excited. I love my team too. Several teams practice at once, and the other teams will be working super hard, practicing throws, or running to improve speed, and we'll be sitting on the grass, joking, laughing, and eating cupcakes. We have treats at pretty much every practice:) I think it's the treats that are helping us win. :) We go out to eat or have potlucks at someone's apartment too. We are a well fed team. Humanities class should be interesting, because it is pretty much art appreciation, but for some reason it is just so boring i can't stand it. Maybe it's cause it is an hour and a half of discussion on the same topic at 8 in the morning? Who knows? Science is great, I'm learning a ton, and I love my teacher. His name is Brother Lemon, and he's super smart. I'm not doing very well grade-wise though. It's kind of depressing. I love the devotionals. They are pretty much amazing, and my choir gets to sing at them at least once a month. it's fun to sing, but we have to get ready ahead of time, so i end up missing science those days. Don't worry, We've only sang twice this semester. My Developing World class is my earliest class. It's not a bad class though. My professor looks about 53 and he has braces. It makes me feel better about myself (:
We have a lot of big projects in that class. Overall, I love the school. Everyone is really cool, and I've met a lot of people. There is a depressingly low amount of sarcasm here, but Laura saves me from that. I'm really good friends with laura. I've only known her for 2 months, but I already feel like she's another sister, or at least a very close friend. :) We laugh a lot, and use our the sarcasm that is unappreciated everywhere else on eachother. I'm also good friends with Rachel. She's really sweet. She's also confused and homesick. She's going home next semester to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Laura and Rachel are both from Virginia. They were friends before they came here. I don't get along with Ashley. Oh well, life goes on... The actual town of Rexburg is pretty boring I'd have to say. The students at BYUi make up about half of the population. That is an actual statistic. I know- sad. The sand dunes are fun though, and we like to go to Jamba Juice for smoothies. My FHE group is awesome. Pat lives lives in Aspen Village,(known for it's rats and mold), and he stops by our apartment regularly just to hang out. Matt is is roommate. He's really nice, but he's a lot older than us. He's 23, so we don't really hang out with him other than fhe. The other girls in our group are jamie, hayley, Amanda, and Myla. They're all a lot of fun, except I don't know amanda that well because she usually skips. We have a couple of locals too Annie and Emily. Emily is really nice, and anything that comes out of Annie's mouth is hilarious. Anyway, I have some homework to do, but that novel gives you some idea of my life. I update as often as I can. Love you all!
